Elijah Waters is set to release his new album ‘Violence!’ on July 17th.
The songwriter interweaves elements from various genres, unified by his love for the acoustic guitar and his heartfelt voice. Coined “future folk” by its creator, Elijah Waters’ previous two albums – ‘A Sunday Kinda Love’ and ‘Mother, I’m Not Here’ – provided captivating insights into his artistry.
The Rotterdam-native, now based in London, is returning with his upcoming album ‘Violence!’ scheduled to be released this summer.
Arriving on July 17th, ‘Violence!’ includes a collection of autobiographical snapshots. “The goal for this record was to confront myself and my stories,” shares Elijah Waters.
His new single ‘Summer 17’ is now available, presenting a reflective moment crafted in collaboration with long-time Clash favorite Jeshi. Elijah explains…
‘Summer 17’ is a recollection of a childhood dream. For me, it reflects on past relationships and the realization of things we were too young to understand. Jeshi perfectly captures the essence of his nostalgia. In the visuals, we revisit the same locations but seldom together, evoking a sense of parallel childhood experiences.
