Miles Kane is set to release his new album, ‘Sunlight In The Shadows,’ later this year.
The English songwriter will conclude his shows at Sheffield's Leadmill on June 27th, where he plans to surprise fans with some new songs.
His latest album, ‘Sunlight In The Shadows,’ is finished and scheduled for release on October 17th.
Produced by Dan Auerbach at Easy Eye Studios, the album features 11 tracks co-written by Miles and Dan, reflecting their common love for 60s psychedelia while incorporating a modern twist.
“All roads, over 20 years, have led here,” Miles shares. “Dan and I enjoy blending T. Rex, Motown, and The Easybeats, and this record is the outcome. During our discussions and reference sharing, we discovered that our tastes were frighteningly similar, and you can hear that shared enthusiasm in the music. I’m eager to perform it live. This is an album that deserves to be experienced on stage.”
The recording sessions included contributions from Pat McLaughlin, Daniel Tashian, and Patrick Carney of The Black Keys; alongside Dan Auerbach, guitarist Nick Bockrath from Cage The Elephant, and Barrie Cadogan of Little Barrie also participated.
“This record was an incredible experience to make,” states Dan Auerbach. “From start to finish, I felt like I forged a lifelong friendship with Miles, which doesn’t always happen. When it does, it’s truly special. This is an artist who could create music forever.”
The new single ‘Love Is Cruel’ is now available, with Miles Kane noting, “Imagine Clint Eastwood and Judy Garland in the desert at dusk!”
