Animal Collective has made a comeback with a fresh single titled ‘Love On the Big Screen’, released through Domino.
This delightfully referential (and somewhat disorienting) track showcases the collective's signature quirky melodies and playful chants, infused with a hint of kaleidoscopic ska.
The limited-edition 7-inch single, featuring the B-side ‘Buddies On the Blackboard’, is set to drop on August 1st. Both tracks were produced by Avey Tare and Adam McDaniel, with engineering and mixing carried out by McDaniel at his Drop of Sun Studios in Asheville, North Carolina, and mastered by Dave Cooley.
‘Love On the Big Screen’ marks the band’s first release since their live album, ‘Sung Tongs’, from the previous year.
