Tres Leches Announces New Album ‘The Smooth Sounds of Tres Leches, LHCC Mart Vol. 1’

      An extension of Hiatus Kaiyote...

Tres Leches is set to release their new album ‘The Smooth Sounds Of Tres Leches, LHCC Mart Vol. 1’ on August 15th.

The band serves as an adjunct to Hiatus Kaiyote, featuring Paul Bender and Simon Mavin from Hiatus Kaiyote, along with Alejandro “Silentjay” Abapo, a long-time collaborator and touring band member.

Their sessions began while on tour, reinterpreting some beloved Hiatus Kaiyote tracks until the material evolved into something original.

With stripped-down production and laid-back tempos, Tres Leches aims to create the sweetest alt-soul.

The upcoming album ‘The Smooth Sounds Of Tres Leches, LHCC Mart Vol. 1,’ will be released on August 15th through Brainfeeder, a reliable mark of quality, and will include a version of the LHCC single ‘Telescope’ available on streaming platforms.

      The group remarks...

“The majority of this album was created on the road while touring with HK. In green rooms or hotels, the three of us would borrow our front-of-house engineer’s portable speakers, open up someone’s laptop, and dive in! Most sounds are from plugins, though we occasionally used a sound from a Yamaha reface or the Korg Kronos, along with our manager’s affordable nylon string guitar and Jay’s delightful soprano sax. For all the lovers out there, let tonight be the moment you surrender to Tres Leches.”

      Tune in now.
