Kae Tempest has unveiled his latest single, ‘Diagnoses’. This track is the third release from the upcoming album ‘Self Titled’, which is set to drop on 4th July through Island Records. ‘Diagnoses’ premiered this morning on BBC 6 Music with Nick Grimshaw and is accompanied by a powerful video of Kae performing the song. "It’s a summer banger about antipsychotics and HRT and loving each other no matter how mental we are,” Kae shares about the single, which he co-produced with Fraser T Smith and Tom Rowlands from the electronic duo The Chemical Brothers. The song celebrates neurodiversity and aims to normalize differences that are often seen as flaws. “It’s a reminder to take a second look,” Kae explains, “we are all more vibrant than we recognize in each other." The new single arrives just before Kae's upcoming performance at the Glastonbury festival this weekend, where he will take the stage on Sunday night (29th June). ‘Self Titled’ is set to be released next month and is anticipated to be Kae’s most intimate project to date. This single follows earlier releases, ‘Know Yourself’ and ‘Statue In The Square’. You can view the video for the new single, ‘Diagnoses’, below:
