Lorde appears to have confirmed her performance at Glastonbury.
All week, there has been growing speculation regarding her potential appearance, coinciding with the release of her new album ‘Virgin’ on streaming platforms this morning (June 27th).
In our review, Clash stated:
It's uncommon for an artist to reach peak moments twice in their career, but ‘Virgin’ escalates to equal heights that many incorrectly believed could only be achieved by the beloved pop album ‘Melodrama.’ With its successful sonic reinvention that maintains a sense of nostalgia by bringing Lorde back to her signature synth-pop style, alongside lyrics that explore a range of traumas, ‘Virgin’ establishes itself not just as a powerful reclamation record but as the soundtrack to Lorde’s rebirth.
It now looks like Lorde will take the stage at Glastonbury this morning. In the lead-up to the event, she appeared on Radio 1, expressing that she was "pretty keen" to perform at the festival.
Lorde shared an aerial photo of Woodsies on Instagram, implying she will kick off the festival at Woodsies at 11:30 AM today.
Stay tuned for live coverage from Glastonbury all weekend on Clash.
