Cain Culto and Sudan Archives Collaborate on ‘KFC Santeria’

      A compelling and thought-provoking single...

Cain Culto and Sudan Archives have joined forces for the striking new release ‘KFC Santeria’.

The single has been teased across social media, showcasing queer pop innovator Cain Culto in a collaborative effort. Sudan Archives is of a similar mindset, and together they create a track that transitions from a message of solidarity with Palestine to mentions of poppers in just a few lines.

Both artists bring their violins to the mix, offering a genuine cross-genre experience that incorporates club elements while targeting various adverse societal issues – dismantling ICE, confronting hard-right paranoia, and more.

Sudan Archives comments: “It's uncommon to see someone utilize the fiddle in that manner and produce such unique music. I discovered him through comments from fans on his video and thought, ‘Wow, this is amazing’. I vibe with Cain. He has a similar essence to me, lol.”

Cain Culto adds: “We aimed to reinterpret the track and showcase our cultural heritages. With everything occurring in our country right now, particularly in Los Angeles, it felt crucial to honor and celebrate our backgrounds. As a first-generation child of Central and South American immigrants, I take the current issues in my community very seriously. I’m processing a lot of grief and anger, and I needed to express that through this track.”
