Leicester-born rapper Sainté is set to release his new EP ‘4L’ on July 18th.
Musically, ‘4L’ draws inspiration from Sainté’s early work while also looking ahead; envision atmospheric textures with relaxed yet focused flows that blend jazz, broken beat, and alternative R&B. The EP reflects Sainté’s journey, featuring tracks that embrace authenticity and vulnerability, influenced by the vibes of LA, Bali, and areas like Soho and Camden in London.
Regarding his vision for ‘4L’, which embodies the themes of “stillness, ambition, and edge,” Sainté expresses: “This EP is about movement. Growth. Both in sound and lyrics, I’m going beyond what felt safe. I aimed for a sound that wasn’t overly polished or predictable. There’s beauty in contrasts. Don’t disguise anything. Allow the chaos to be visible, and let confidence coexist with uncertainty. That balance is essential. The flows are more defined, and there’s significant effort in the production—there’s much more to the writing. It’s still me, your local MVP, but the IOS has been upgraded—fewer need to prove, more of taking ownership.”
To mark its release, Sainté has unveiled a new single ‘Days in the 3,’ featuring rising talent Ledbyher and South London standout Kairo Keyz. This follows his previous single ‘Dora.’
‘4L’ marks Sainté’s first significant release since his debut mixtape ‘Still Local,’ which was released last year and included collaborations with artists like Potter Payper and Lil Silva.
