Ines Rae has released her latest pop anthem ‘Pretty Girls Scare Me.’
The singer is on a remarkable streak, with 2025 already showcasing standout singles like ‘Miniature Man’ and ‘Breadcrumbs.’
Now available, the new track ‘Pretty Girls Scare Me’ offers a dose of pop realism, as Ines Rae reflects on her own challenging high school experiences.
It serves as a tribute to outsiders, with ‘Pretty Girls Scare Me’ exploring past trauma along the way. Emerging with a strengthened sense of identity, the song is reminiscent of the works of Sabrina Carpenter and fellow pop artists like Alessi Rose.
Ines Rae shares…
“I was never considered the pretty girl in school; I was always the chubby friend who was liked but not enough to be in the ‘popular’ circle. The pretty girls intimidated me. I’ve come to realize that they peaked too early. My school experience was much more enjoyable without the pursuit of popularity. I want this song to resonate with anyone going through something similar.”
