Reading trio stake their claim...

doops have released their latest single ‘everything’s fine’.
The Reading three-piece has been on tour in the early months of 2025, delivering a series of electrifying performances. With their intense indie rock sound, the band has been invited to support acts like Opus Kink, Do Nothing, and Plantoid, among others.
Channeling this momentum in the studio, doops are working on capturing their unique sound—a blend of ragged psychedelia and post-punk—on tape.
Their new single ‘everything’s fine’ is now available through the newly established DIY label Hot Earth Records (HER001) and is a powerful track.
The single was produced by renowned engineer Shuta Shinoda (Ghostpoet, Anna Meredith, Spiritualized, Hot Chip, Daughter) and recorded by Spencer Withey (Ladylike) at Farm Road Studios, showcasing the full spectrum of doops' intensity.
“This song emerged from frustration,” Andy from the band explains. “It started as an instrumental with a floating fourth member, Cameron, and evolved into something that felt authentic to us. Lyrically, it's more straightforward than our previous work. It tackles growing up—not the idealized version, but the reality where tough decisions are made and the notion that being ‘just fine’ might be the best we can achieve. And that can be okay. It can even be beautiful.”
