Luvcat reveals information about their first album, ‘Vicious Delicious’.

Luvcat, an alumni of DIY’s Class of 2025, has revealed information about her debut album ‘Vicious Delicious,’ which will be released on Halloween, October 31, through AWAL. She has also unveiled the title track from the album. The Liverpool singer has garnered a significant fan base with her sultry yet dark tracks like ‘Matador,’ ‘Dinner @ Brasserie Zédel,’ and her latest single ‘Lipstick.’ This album will further showcase the vaudevillian style she has developed. Luvcat describes the album's creation as somewhat accidental, saying, “With the chaos of the past year, I decided to skip EPs or mixtapes and focus on making my first true statement. Once I learned Halloween was on a Friday, I knew we needed to work quickly to make it happen.

"It’s a bit messy with its lipstick smudged and its stockings torn, but I’m incredibly proud of how we've encapsulated this odd, magical tale, along with all the lovers and libertines I've encountered. The record reflects an old-school romance that’s slightly unhinged—a pendulum swinging between love and addiction, ecstasy and melancholy, innocence and eroticism, the deliciously vicious and the viciously delicious."

She has also released the title track ‘Vicious Delicious,’ which she describes as “a song about a terrible man who tasted like heaven. He was addictive, magnetic, devilishly handsome, and danced like Fred Astaire—a true hedonist with a matching black eye. I was inspired by the Sid and Nancy dynamic... the dangers of intoxicating love. Caution: don’t fall for a man in a band.” You can watch the striking and surreal video, co-directed by Luvcat and Oliver Bradley-Baker, below.

In addition to the album announcement, Luvcat has scheduled a significant series of headline shows this autumn. After a special performance in Germany this September, she will embark on a tour across the UK, Europe, and America, wrapping up at the end of the year. Tickets are available now.
