Rico Nasty is the sixth personality featured in CLASH 131.

Artists have always tapped into the energy of their surroundings – it's simply a part of the creative process. Yet, there's only one artist who can genuinely convey the anger and unfiltered despair so many individuals experience in everyday life, and that artist is Rico Nasty.

Recognized as Fueled By Ramen’s “first Black girl rockstar,” the American musician has consistently pursued creative freedom. Transitioning from one project to another, Rico Nasty has shown that she is elusive, an ever-changing artist whose mission is to inspire and captivate.

Even by her own benchmarks, however, her new album ‘LETHAL’ is exceptional. An outpouring of innovation, the intense soundscapes draw from rock's traditions, serving as a rebellious nod to her youthful inspirations paired with her bold flows.

In a candid digital cover story with CLASH, Rico Nasty delves into her studio inspirations and recounts how a single moment of reflection in front of a mirror ignited a period of self-discovery.

As she notes: “This is my art, this is my baby.”

The complete cover feature will be available online soon.
