A gently confident release...

Nottingham indie band DIVORCE has unveiled their new single ‘O Calamity’.
The band's impressive debut album ‘Drive to Goldenhammer’ is currently available, receiving widespread acclaim.
Following this, DIVORCE has completed a headline tour, highlighted by a sold-out show at London’s KOKO, and is set to support Mumford & Sons at some large-scale concerts.
The new single ‘O Calamity’ evokes those dreamy late summer feelings, blending a subtle indie-Americana style that appreciates nuance and subtlety.
Stepping away from the energy of their live performances, ‘O Calamity’ chooses a more delicate approach.
Regarding the new track, co-vocalist and guitarist Tiger Cohen-Towell shares...
‘O Calamity’ was written six years ago; I remember the vocals for the first verse and chorus coming to me while I was working a shift at the bar, which is a typical way songwriting begins for me even now. Felix and I were then performing under a different name, so we completed and arranged it together.
We always believed it to be a beautiful song and kept it among our material, but we didn't include it on the album simply due to how long ago it was written. It feels like a fitting time to finally release it, so here it is: a glimpse into our past created by two of us who were barely teenagers at the time. It seems like a different era, yet great songs never lose their appeal.
Listen now.
