Ava Gore and Ethan P. Flynn collaborate...
London-based project Silver Gore has released their new song ‘Dogs In Heaven.’
Earlier this year, the band performed at a special showcase during The Great Escape, where Silver Gore presented a flawless collection of thoughtful yet captivating pop tracks.
Recently signed to Island Records, the new single ‘Dogs In Heaven’ reveals more about them.
Out now, the track showcases the duo – Ava Gore and Ethan P. Flynn – blending studio techniques with a keen sense for melodies. At times, it evokes the uniqueness of Jockstrap, and even hints at the shimmering baroque pop style of Broadcast.
Deeply influenced by their emotions in that moment, Ava drew inspiration from childhood memories of watching the animated film All Dogs Go to Heaven. However, this is juxtaposed with her later realization that one of the child actors was tragically killed by her father shortly before the film's initial release.
“I spent many hours alone, watching this movie with our family dog,” Ava reminisces. “This song addresses making choices and the unforeseen consequences that ensue.”
The video, directed by Ben Cole, serves as an ethereal visual interpretation of a song that offers a transporting experience.
