Electronic artist Blue Loop has announced her debut album titled ‘Cycles’.
Scheduled for release on November 7th, the album sees the producer and performer, whose real name is Emma Hall, exploring personal aspects of her life.
The creation of the album began before she received a heartbreaking diagnosis—stage three breast cancer—which required immediate treatment.
Music served as her anchor, and ‘Cycles’ refers to the eight rounds of chemotherapy she underwent within five months.
Set to arrive on November 7th, the album is led by the title track—a beautifully rich journey into analogue electronics, where the soft synths and layered vocals create a choral, cohesive effect.

I started writing ‘Cycles’ before my diagnosis during a particularly existential phase in my life. Having just turned 30, I was grappling with the notion of aging. I felt that I was at a peak in my life, yet I was also staring down the possibility of significant change. With the opening lines, “midnight, the longest day,” I envision that moment during a midsummer night in Scandinavia when the light never fades—it’s beautiful but carries a bittersweet quality, as the light gradually starts to dim from that point on.
The harsh realities expressed in this song became even more pronounced after my diagnosis. However, while developing the song during my treatment, the beauty of cyclical patterns emerged more clearly, resulting in a piece that embodies a sense of balance and universality, before the album delves into the more intense experiences of my life with cancer and simply being alive!
