Chloe Slater embraces the comparisons to Daisy Edgar-Jones in her new ‘Harriet’ video.

This year has been significant for the rising pop star, who opened for Alessi Rose on her extensive UK and European tour, followed by the release of her well-received EP ‘Love Me Please.’

During this time, a common joke among her fans has been how closely Chloe resembles Normal People actress Daisy Edgar-Jones – it’s quite striking.

Now, she has chosen to lean into it. ‘Harriet’ tells a bittersweet story of love and regret, with the music video featuring Chloe Slater reenacting pivotal moments from the praised TV series.

“’Harriet’ is one of my earliest songs,” Slater reveals. “I wrote it at 18 while living in the worst student accommodations, during my first experience with heartbreak. There have been many iterations since, but this release feels like a small tribute to that girl – like a true ‘I made it’ moment.”

The video, directed by Bonnie MacRae in her directorial debut, demonstrates remarkable attention to detail—from reconstructing Connell’s bedroom in Streatham to replicating the exact supermarket dress worn by Marianne.

“What began as a running joke about my likeness to Daisy Edgar-Jones turned into a complete recreation of my favorite scenes,” Chloe explains. “We were laughing on set when the shots lined up perfectly. I've never consumed so many ice lollies in my life!”

Bonnie MacRae adds: “I’ve watched Normal People maybe twelve times, so receiving this brief was a genuine dream. Chloe and I shared so many of the same references and inspirations, which made the entire process effortless. Bringing ‘Harriet’ to life in this manner, alongside a track that could genuinely coexist with the original soundtrack, was such a delight!”
