Just in time for the summer, Beats has introduced two new color options for the 2024 Beats Pill in a soft blush pink and a deep navy blue.
Beats is set for summer with two new Pill color options and ambassadors. The blush pink and navy blue variants are launched in collaboration with two sports icons: WNBA’s Angel Reese and F1’s Daniel Ricciardo. This campaign represents a new phase for Beats as it enhances its cultural impact through professional sports.
The campaign begins with the introduction of two new ‘Pill People’, the brand’s fun mascots. Angel Reese is represented as the blush pink pill person, while Daniel Ricciardo takes on the navy blue pill persona. These characters are designed to embody their real-life counterparts, complete with athletic outfits and accessories. Angel’s pill person reflects her vibrant spirit, and Daniel’s mimics his quirky personality, even showcasing his signature 'shoey' move (drinking champagne from a shoe). Watch Angel’s Blush Pink Pill short video below, and check out Daniel's short here.
Originally launched in October 2012, the Beats Pill changed the game with its striking design and easy pairing features, transforming how we enjoy music on the move. After a decade, the speaker was quietly phased out in 2022, but it made a significant return in June 2024 with a modern and sleek redesign. The latest version of the Beats Pill includes enhanced technology, with improved dust and water resistance, lightweight construction, superior sound quality, a 24-hour battery life, and Fast Fuel charging via USB-C, ensuring it remains a preferred travel accessory. The company reports that this latest Beats Pill has achieved more sales in its first nine months than any prior launch, and with talents like Angel Reese and Daniel Ricciardo on board, the momentum shows no signs of waning.
The navy speaker is exclusively available in the US, while the blush pink variant is a UK exclusive, available solely at John Lewis.
