Electronic quartet Porij has made their return with new music for 2025, presenting a sun-soaked track titled ‘I’m Your Lover (Only)’. This release is their first since the debut album ‘Teething’, launched last April, and its follow-up single, ‘Stranger’, featuring Elkka, which was released last June. Perfectly timed for summer, the track’s warm tones evoke memories of lazy days abroad and lively nights out, while, as frontperson Egg describes, the song revolves around “accidentally falling in love. You can’t always choose when it happens, and this is about embracing the moment, going with the flow, and enjoying it for what it is without overthinking.” To complement the summery feel, the music video was shot in Ibiza, with the song initially dubbed ‘Beefa’. “Jacob created the original piano and drum hook for the chorus and named it ‘Beefa’ on a Soundcloud demo,” the band shares. “So for the video, we thought it would be fitting to take a spontaneous 48-hour trip to Ibiza, where we shot scenes at a tranquil villa in the northern part of the island, along with a bit of fun at Amnesia for Bicep’s Boiler Room, which was a bit less tranquil… The inspiration for the concept definitely drew from a ‘Kevin & Perry’ vibe—imagine going on your first holiday with friends and all the adventures that come with it. Sun-drenched days by the pool, some cheeky drinks, and incredible tunes.” Watch the video below. The band is also set for a live performance in London this summer—check out the details below.
