In the midst of a vibrant summer filled with festival performances, The Dare has released a fresh track to keep the festivities alive. Departing a bit from some of his more indie sleaze-inspired anthems, ‘Tambourine’ showcases Harrison Patrick Smith's move towards a heavier, club-focused aspect of his musical range. Alongside this new release, Smith has announced an upcoming EP titled ‘Freakquencies: Vol 1,’ set to drop later this month. Inspired by his now-famous New York party series Freakquencies, this four-track instrumental EP will be released on the 22nd through Polydor / Republic Records. This marks his first release since the deluxe edition (or ‘Afters’) of his debut album 'What’s Wrong With New York?' was released earlier this year. The tracklist for ‘Freakquencies: Vol 1’ includes: 1. Kick 2. Modelizer 3. Tambourine 4. Exhilaration. Listen to ‘Tambourine’ below and check out his upcoming festival performance schedule, which features a set at Reading and Leeds later this month, listed after the player.
