“Nobody Cares” – Bec Lauder and The Noise
There’s a certain exhilaration that comes from not caring – from incinerating the rulebook, flipping tables, and letting chaos pour out in abundance. "Nobody Cares" serves as the soundtrack to this liberation: frenetic, intense, and primal. Bec Lauder and The Noise’s first release of the year is a dramatic, unapologetic gesture of defiance, even as the mascara runs down their faces. It’s electrifying and invigorating – an emotionally charged glam-punk anthem for anyone who has ever wanted to scream into the void, break free from monotony, and dance freely in their favorite boots.

Work shifts, highly wasted
Phone calls, lately faced with
Visions, we’ve all got them
Listen, you’re the problem
Work shifts
Give me a break,
I’m not fighting you
Your phone calls
Leave me a message,
I’m a busy girl
Your visions
I’ve got plenty to spare
Just listen
I know who you are
And I don’t care
We are excited to premiere the music video for “Nobody Cares,” the second single from Bec Lauder and The Noise’s upcoming debut album The Vessel (set for release on August 22 via Killphonic). Directed and edited by Lauder, the video is part satire, part sensory overload – a dizzying plunge into corporate absurdity that reflects the song’s chaotic release. With its frenetic imagery and fierce swagger, it takes the band’s "glam-punk" ethos to a euphoric new level.

“‘Nobody Cares’ perfectly embodies the chaos of apathy with a playful smirk,” Lauder shares with Atwood Magazine. “It’s a chocolate-covered middle finger, a summer banger meant to be cranked up loud. It defines glam punk while integrating dream pop textures, lo-fi grit, and sincerity. Cry later, strut now.”

I don’t… really care!

Originating from New York’s East Village and shaped by over 100 performances since March 2023, Bec Lauder and The Noise are seasoned performers who understand the visceral release that stage presence offers. With Lauder on vocals, guitar, and bass; Soph Shreds on guitar and bass; and Maggie Bishop on drums and vocal harmonies, the band combines classic rock intensity with downtown art-punk aesthetics. “The Noise” isn't merely a clever title – it’s a mission statement.
At some point, that mission transformed into reality for the trio. “‘Bec Lauder’ is who I transform into when creating music – The Noise brings it to life,” Lauder (born Rebecca Corosanite) articulates. “Having a band of musicians I trust and friends to share this journey with is crucial to me. Music is about community, and I’ve surrounded myself with my favorite musicians.”
Lauder first showcased her solo artistry in 2023 with the five-track debut EP Before Everything Changes, a captivating record in its own right, but her forthcoming LP The Vessel truly represents an explosion of creativity. With eleven tracks filled with grit, glamour, and unfiltered honesty, The Vessel is a celebration of chaos and clarity, encapsulating the raw process of becoming. “When I hit the stage, it’s full-body improvisation – no shame, no filters, just instinct,” she explains. “I’m a vessel, and the only way this works is by allowing the music to dominate.”

Dynamic, intense, and brimming with wild energy, “Nobody Cares” is a seductive, exuberant display – an ideal introduction to Bec Lauder and The Noise in 2025. With wild eyes and a sharp tongue, the song serves as an emotionally charged release from apathy and angst. It's a track that bursts forth with its tight rhythm and shimmering guitar tones – yet it’s Lauder’s voice that inevitably commandeers the spotlight. She passionately pours out her soul, conveying a sense of urgency and indifference. “Work shifts, highly wasted phone calls
