Following his recent announcement of entering the music scene with a debut album, comedian and podcaster Adam Buxton has released an exuberantly quirky new single titled ‘Doing It Wrong’. This track offers a humorous take on the numerous stresses of adult life and carries a distinct vibe reminiscent of David Byrne, further enhanced by its vibrant, cartoon-like music video. Reflecting on his album, named ‘Buckle Up’, which will be released on 12th September through Decca, Adam commented: “I don’t really view this as actual music. One of the possible titles I thought of was ‘Adjacent To Music’, because in my opinion, any piece of music I’ve listened to holds more merit to be called music than this.” Additionally, the album features production work from Metronomy's Joe Mount, who mentioned that a key consideration in crafting the music was pondering “what would a car full of teenagers enjoy hearing?”. He expressed, “We hope we’ve created something a car full of teenagers will like.” You can watch the video for ‘Doing It Wrong’ here: ‘Buckle Up’ tracklist: 1. Intro 2. I Grated My Thumb 3.
