Bricknasty Unveils New Mixtape Titled 'Black’s Law'

Set to be released on October 29th, Irish band Bricknasty will debut their new mixtape titled ‘Black’s Law’.

Hailing from the Ballymun flats in Dublin, a working-class area often overlooked by mainstream media, this five-member group blends elements of hip-hop with electronic production, alongside Irish cultural influences, creating a unique sound.

They are also slated to support Kneecap on their upcoming tour, with the 'Black’s Law' mixtape dropping on October 29th via FAMM.

The new single ‘is é a locht a laghad’, which roughly translates to "it’s the least of the blame", departs from their high-energy, hardcore style to reveal a more emotional aspect of Bricknasty.

Drawing on the traditional Irish music that shaped their youth, the song features vocals from Willa Lee, a childhood idol of Fatboy from the same Ballymun flats.

The raw, cracked vocals carry a haunting quality, while the ethereal instrumentation blends past and present, conveying a message of continuity.

      Fatboy remarks:

“This song is dedicated to my little sister Chloe and reflects on our time spent in the blocks getting into mischief. Our mother advised us to appreciate those moments as life changes when you grow older. She was right, perhaps more than anyone could have imagined, especially given the current situation both at home and internationally…”
