es.cher has announced the release of their debut mixtape, ‘Scattered sunlight, broken glass’.
This multi-talented artist is primarily recognized as a guitarist and has quietly emerged as one of the notable figures in British music. Collaborations with Halsey on ‘The Great Impersonator’ and Skepta on ‘48 Hours’ have helped es.cher cultivate a dedicated fanbase.
As a skilled artist, guitarist, and producer, their debut mixtape is set to release this year. Scheduled for September 26th, ‘Scattered sunlight, broken glass’ represents es.cher’s most expansive and vibrant collection to date, with songs that unveil new dimensions of their emotional experiences.
In their own words: “it’s a collage of emotional snapshots, held together by texture and tone.”
Two new tracks are available now – the poignant, understated ‘Luna’ and the more straightforward, intense ‘easy to forget’.
es.cher shares…
“When describing nature, one must focus on small details, arranging them so that when the reader shuts their eyes, they can visualize. For example, if you write about a moonlit night and mention that on the mill dam, a shard of glass from a broken bottle sparkled like a radiant little star, and that the dark silhouette of a dog or wolf passed by like a rolling ball, you’ll create that imagery.”
Tune in now.
See es.cher perform at The Shackwell Arms, London, on November 12th.
