The Australian band The Temper Trap has released a new song titled ‘Lucky Dimes’.
The group is well-known for their timeless hit ‘Sweet Disposition’, an internationally acclaimed single driven by frontman Dougy Mandagi’s remarkable falsetto.
Still a significant presence on streaming platforms, ‘Sweet Disposition’ was cherished by the late Mac Miller and has seen numerous remixes and covers.
Now available, the single ‘Lucky Dimes’ marks The Temper Trap’s first offering of new material in nine years. Filling the nearly decade-long gap in their style, it presents a vibrant piece of arena pop that feels exceptionally new.
Led by Dougy Mandagi, ‘Lucky Dimes’ is the result of a collaboration with Grammy-nominated producer Styalz Fuego (Troye Sivan, Charli XCX, The Knocks, Khalid). The song was co-written with Styalz and mixed by the esteemed producer and engineer Spike Stent.
Dougy Mandagi expressed: “It’s great to know that nine years after our last release, we still have something to say. Creating this record has been a genuine pleasure, and we’re excited to share it with you—not to revisit the past, but to embark on the next chapter.”
