BIZZY Sets the Mood for the Excitement of New Romance in “I Really Like This Part” - Atwood Magazine

BIZZY's new single "I Really Like This Part" embodies pure joy, evoking the feelings of butterflies, sunshine, and the intoxicating excitement of a nascent romance. It’s the perfect track to play with the windows down after an amazing day spent with someone whose thoughts you can't shake, singing like no one's looking (except perhaps the person in the adjacent car).

The lyrics vividly depict the enchanting moments of the honeymoon phase with striking detail: “Where you walk me to my car, and say I’m pretty… where we both have whole hearts, and you haven’t seen my scars.” Each verse serves as a snapshot of a sweet and unscripted experience – that rare, luminous moment when everything feels right, and all possibilities are open.

"I Really Like This Part" follows her bold breakup song "Tuesday," which launched Bizflix Season 2 – an innovative, self-produced series where BIZZY releases music alongside melodrama. Season 2 captured her current “fresh out of f*s to give” vibe, even including a dramatic scene where her ex literally runs her over. Now, Season 3 shifts its focus to romantic comedy territory, exploring infatuation and chaotic love, one episode at a time.

Her music is marked by candid honesty, cinematic depth, and sharp, self-aware humor. This blend of rawness and relatability has drawn a growing fanbase that tunes in for the music and stays for the narrative.

The drama continues with her upcoming record, where BIZZY aims to explore the full spectrum of romance – from gut-wrenching heartbreaks to exhilarating highs – all conveyed through her distinct storytelling. If "I Really Like This Part" offers any indication, we can expect a season focused less on avoiding heartbreak and more on embracing it fully. "God, I’ll cry if this is ever over," she sings in the bridge, perfectly capturing the feeling of loving something – or someone – so wonderful that the thought of losing it is terrifying.

Before the next episode of Bizflix is released – and before BIZZY converts another messy yet magical experience into a song worthy of a soundtrack – we had a few minutes to discuss a rapid-fire round of questions, such as the text she wishes she hadn’t sent, the secret subtitle she would give to the song, and the amusingly fitting title for a hypothetical art exhibit based on her Notes app.

      A CONVERSATION WITH BIZZY

Atwood Magazine: If “I Really Like This Part” represented a text you never sent, to whom was it directed and what prevented you from sending it?

BIZZY: Oh my gosh, what a fun question! It would be to my ex, who inspired the song. I never performed it for him, and just the idea of sending it now makes me feel nauseous, haha. I don't want to give him that satisfaction.

If the song had a subtitle in parentheses, what would it be?

BIZZY: “I Really Like This Part” (you're about to fall in love)

Is there a line in the song you almost omitted for being overly honest? What made you keep it?

BIZZY: Hmm, not really. With all my music, I just include everything, even the lines I maybe should have cut.

If someone only heard the chorus and nothing else, what might they misunderstand about the song’s meaning?

BIZZY: They might interpret it as a fear-driven song if they only caught the chorus with the lyrics, “nothing’s gone wrong… and I don’t want it to stop.”

If a stranger listened to “I Really Like This Part” on repeat for a week, what would they learn about you that most people don’t?

BIZZY: Ooh, that I’m definitely a simp. But maybe that’s pretty clear right away.

Is there a thought or line you’ve kept for years, waiting for the right song? Did it finally find a place?

BIZZY: No for this song. It came straight from the heart in real time!

You're on a long drive with the windows down, and one of your own songs plays unexpectedly. Do you turn it up or skip it? Why?

BIZZY: Haha, it depends on my mood. Sometimes I’m like, hell yes! Other times, if I’m feeling overwhelmed by music, I might say, nope – skip.
