The Dublin group Runner has released their impactful new single 'Distance'.
This marks a significant milestone in any band's journey – the debut single signifies the moment when aspirations materialize, live performances are captured, and fans receive something tangible to cherish.
Runner clearly embraces rock traditions, meticulously refining their approach. Following the buzz generated by their early single 'View' this summer, they return with something new.
The new single 'Distance' is rich in intensity, featuring a dynamic mix of guitar pop infused with attitude and uniqueness. Collaborating with producer Dan Doherty (Mazzy Star, Fontaines DC, Jesus and The Mary Chain), the Dublin quartet navigates the pressures of daily life while enjoying the excitement of creative expression.
Out now, 'Distance' propels their upward trajectory – Runner feels exhilarating and innovative, bringing fresh sounds to the current flourishing of Irish music.

"Recording this song was challenging for us as we faced a lot of unnecessary stress in our daily lives that delayed the release, but we are thrilled to present new musical directions we can explore. 'Distance' leans more towards our alternative and shoegaze influences, which we are eager to share with our listeners. We are very excited for people to hear us venture into more experimental territory."
