British RnB artist Tiana Major9 has released her latest single ‘Shook One’.
Following her earlier release of ‘money’ this year, Tiana Major9 draws inspiration from Mariah Carey and reinterprets the iconic track ‘Shook Ones Pt II’ by the Queens duo Mobb Deep. Her rendition is more than just a tribute to the original; it infuses boldness and style into a powerful critique of emotional immaturity in the midst of a turbulent relationship.
The single, co-written by Kassa Alexander and Tiana Major9 and produced by PRGRSHN, features Tiana confronting a partner unwilling to be honest and open, with an attitude that is both challenging and intense. “If you ain’t loving me, who are you loving?” “No milk and sugars here – who are you mugging?” Tiana delivers these lines with impressive vocal flair.
The GRAMMY-nominated artist from East London is a prominent figure in the modern UK RnB scene, enjoying transatlantic success. Known for her collaborations with Stormzy and Lucky Daye, Tiana showcases a captivating blend of Brandy-like vocal prowess, Lauryn Hill-esque sincerity, and Alicia Keys-inspired artistry in her music, shaped in London, Los Angeles, and Jamaica.
