Lily Lyons Reveals Her First Album ‘Re-Open The World’

Lily Lyons, an emerging songwriter, will launch her debut album ‘Re-Open The World’ on October 31st.

Growing up, she divided her time between Somerset and London, attending gigs to experience her idols up close. Over time, Lily's unique sound began to emerge—her folk-infused pop is melodic and empathetic, creating an enchanting listening experience.

She is set to headline at Omeara in London on February 20th, leading up to the album's release later this year.

The album, which comes out on October 31st through Fiction, was developed in collaboration with producer Joel Pott.

Her new single ‘Can’t Be The One’ showcases Lily’s skillful finger-picking, with lyrics reflecting a “stroppy, angry side” of herself.

The song centers on the theme of separation and the process of letting go. Lily explains, “It tells the story of walking away from someone while still recognizing the love you have for them and the necessity of their absence from your life. It captures the idea that conflicting emotions can coexist. This track embraces feelings of anger, resignation, and discontent along with love and lightness. A simpler version of the song might have chosen one emotion over the other, but the most accurate reflection of the feeling was to acknowledge both the rage and the love.”
