Ouri and Charlotte Day Wilson Collaborate on ‘Behave !’

      Ethereal, harp-infused R&B...

Ouri and Charlotte Day Wilson team up for their new track ‘Behave !’.

Montreal-based artist Ouri is a dynamic musician with a diverse array of collaborations in her portfolio. Notable partnerships include her work with Jacques Greene, Nosaj Thing, and Jonah Yano, while her extensive collaboration with Helena Deland as Hildegard received a long-list nod for the Polaris Prize.

This past weekend, Ouri unveiled a new project with a fresh collaborator. Charlotte Day Wilson stands out as an exceptional artist with a series of impressive studio albums to her credit.

The two joined forces for the enchanting alt-R&B track ‘Behave !’ – driven by crystalline electronics, with the harp embellishments adding a layer of Baroque elegance to this future-soul partnership.

Released through Born Twice, Ouri shares her thoughts on the song…

“Last year, after touring together for a few months, I played Charlotte a few demos I had been working on. I had been focusing on creating loops with my voice and harp, keeping them raw and unfiltered to sharpen the nuances of my presence. The song began to take shape instinctively, like a child being told to stay still but whose imagination starts to wander, leading the body to follow suit. We ended up experimenting with a classic R’nB vibe while maintaining a confrontational edge, leaning into a hyperreal atmosphere that characterizes my world.”
