In just one breath, she embodies a femme fatale, a starlet, and a survivor, crafting her own narrative in radiant, golden tones.

      Goldie Boutilier Presents… Goldie Montana

“This album is my manifesto,” Boutilier tells Atwood Magazine. “Goldie Montana is a concept I've developed about the alter ego I had to adopt to overcome my past, and now, to thrive in this chapter of my life. A gangster in a gown, Goldie Montana represents that rebellious version of oneself, the person you become when you tap into your inner strength and empowerment, and that’s what I hope listeners gain from my music – the sense that they are in control of their destiny.”

This duality – grit intertwined with glamour, survival steeped in allure – is at the core of Goldie Boutilier Presents Goldie Montana, which releases on September 5th via ONErpm. Each track serves as a chapter in her self-crafted narrative: A sweeping account of scars, resilience, and self-awareness.

      Serotonin, melatonin

Across the hallway, I can hear them moaning

      Don’t interrupt, he’s in a zone

It’s been a long time since he has gone home

      He has gone home

Pills to feel calm, pills to get high

It’s a little too late to be on time

      Gin that smells of turpentine

All I wanna do is have a good time

All I wanna do is roll the dice

Wheels touch down in a gold dust town

Money grows on trees, sex is in the breeze

I’m the king, king of possibilities

      – “King of Possibilities,” Goldie Boutilier

Boutilier began the year with “King of Possibilities,” a raw, sunlit anthem of freedom and excess inspired by her cousin Jimmy, “the type of man who doesn’t apologize.” A bluesy opener and the first track on the album, it sets the tone for everything that follows: “Wheels touch down in a gold dust town / Money grows on trees, sex is in the breeze / I’m the king, king of possibilities,” she asserts, her voice radiating with grit and confidence. Both mesmerizing and dreamlike, the track flows like a fever dream of vice, liberation, and rebellion.

She followed it up with “Neon Nuptials,” a rich, tender narrative of love on the run – “about the kind of love I want,” she shares, “and of course, I had to give the main characters a rebellious edge.” A gentle, shimmering daydream, the song drifts like a warm haze wrapped in golden light and sweat – capturing the essence of the moment with dreamy abandon. “There are no stars in the sky; they’re all in our eyes,” she sings, later revealing, “The world feels right when you’re by my side… neon nuptials.” Her voice resonates with intimacy and yearning, turning fleeting sparks of passion into something timeless and cinematic.

Next came “I Can’t,” a fiery, introspective ballad rooted in heartache and emotional immobilization. “When you’re so heartbroken you can’t eat, sleep, or move on. When the person who shattered your heart could knock on your door, and you’d let them in,” she explains. Over dark, moody guitars, she admits, “I wanna stop thinking ‘bout you, but I can’t / I wanna start something new, but I can’t,” her voice suspended between rage and vulnerability. It’s as raw as it is relatable, a track that lingers like an unhealed wound.

Together, these singles map the emotional landscape between desire and despair, rebellion and decay – all leading to the cinematic grandeur of “Goldie Montana.” This radiant title track stands out as the album’s centerpiece, glowing and intoxicating, reintroducing Boutilier in her boldest, most unapologetic light. The lyrics read like a screenplay saturated with scandal and temptation.
