UK electronic artist Joy Orbison, whose real name is Peter O’Grady, has just unveiled his new single ‘play it again’.
The track features a fragmented and manipulated vocal, with Joy Orbison bringing back the personal, human touch reminiscent of his acclaimed debut longform album ‘still slipping vol. 1’ from 2021, as well as his recent single ‘Bastard’, a 2025 collaboration with underground rap artist Joe James.
Co-written with London artist Faye Meana, this single showcases Orbison's innate connection to ’80s New Wave and ’90s electronica, creating a unique sonic space that balances introspective listening with dancefloor excitement.
This release comes after the summer single ‘Lippy’, a collaboration with Overmono that features original vocals from Montreal rapper Skiifall.
Tune in now.
