A captivating release from the Danish project...

Copenhagen duo snuggle has unveiled their new album ‘Goodbyehouse’ in its entirety.

This marks their debut for Danish label Escho, featuring the duo – Andrea Thuesen (Baby In Vain) and Vilhelm Strange (Liss) – exploring themes of heartbreak over 10 ethereal tracks.

The minimalist, occasionally post-punk influenced sound is coupled with exquisite melodies, occasionally adopting an early 90s production quality. Each track stands alone, yet they are elegantly strung together like pearls on a necklace.

The album, focused on themes of farewell, possesses an emotionally resonant quality. Its style can be elusive – resembling a more abstract version of The Sundays or Young Marble Giants reimagined for 2025 – which only adds to its allure.

The band reflects: “This record is influenced by farewells — to individuals, locations, and the concept of home — encapsulating the mix of sorrow and anticipation that comes with entering new phases of life.”

“We’ve both experienced changes and breakups in various relationships over the past year. We’ve had to say goodbye to significant people and places—lovers, friends, childhood homes, familiar hangouts. The album draws inspiration from a blend of separation anxiety and mourning alongside the joy and excitement for what’s to come. It took some time for me to realize how fitting the album title is in expressing this feeling. Moving away from ‘home’.”

A record truly worth immersing yourself in, you can listen to ‘Goodbyehouse’ below.
