Midlake Features James Lance in the Video for ‘Days Gone By’

Midlake continues to promote their upcoming album with the release of ‘Days Gone By’, the second track from ‘A Bridge To Far’, set to be released on November 7th through Bella Union. The song is accompanied by an enchanting new video featuring Emmy Award-nominated actor James Lance (Ted Lasso, Black Mirror), directed by Taylor McFadden and choreographed by Phil Cogan (Hamilton).

Set against the gentle glow of a New York sunrise, this one-take visual captures Lance as he moves from tranquility to ecstasy, transforming the city street into a stage for change. McFadden presents the sequence as both personal and cinematic: “We choreographed the camera and the dance to be in sync, capturing every movement in an intimate way.”

Lance's participation in the video arises from a long-standing admiration for the band that dates back to a 2023 performance at London’s Roundhouse. “This all emerged from the love I felt around The Roundhouse for a magical boy called Noble. This video is an invocation... a reminder to dance with the sun, the moon, and the skies.”

Produced by Sam Evian at The Echo Lab in Denton, ‘A Bridge To Far’ is Midlake’s sixth studio album, blending rich textures with a subtle sense of optimism. Frontman Eric Pulido describes the album as “less about emulating another sound and more about embodying our own.”

In conjunction with the release, Midlake has announced a UK and European tour for early 2026, with performances scheduled in Manchester, Paris, and Amsterdam, plus a headlining show at London’s Electric Ballroom.
