Peel Dream Magazine Reveals Upcoming Mini-Album

      17 · 09 · 2025

Peel Dream Magazine will be releasing a new mini-album titled ‘Taurus’ later this year.

This announcement comes nearly a year after their well-received album ‘Rose Main Reading Room’. The upcoming mini-LP will include eight previously unreleased tracks.

While ‘Taurus’ draws from the same sources of inspiration as their last album, it also brings its own uniqueness, as Peel Dream Magazine explores new territories.

Scheduled for release on October 1st through Topshelf Records, the mini-album will be available in both digital format and on cassette.

The new track ‘Venus In Nadir’ is currently available, showcasing a gentle fragility that feels refreshing within the band's ethereal collection.

Joe Stevens from Peel Dream Magazine reflects:

This song began during the ‘Rose Main Reading Room’ sessions but I lost motivation midway. After the album was released, I revisited it, revised the lyrics and some of the overdubs, resulting in a very straightforward twee song about a lonely recluse slowly fading away from unreciprocated love. I envisioned him isolated in a log cabin, withdrawing from society, perhaps inspired by the guitar arrangements that reminded me of Nick Drake.

‘Venus In Nadir’ emerged from this process, and it felt appropriate. I had also been toying with this astrology theme, which intrigues me despite my skepticism. That’s the beauty of songwriting – you can pull these abstract concepts from your mind, create chaos, and there's no need to put them back in order once you’re finished.

      Tune in now.
