Magdalena Bay Releases Two New Tracks – ‘Second Sleep’ and ‘Star Eyes’

A surprising comeback from the enchanting alt-pop duo...

Magdalena Bay has released two new tracks – ‘Second Sleep’ and ‘Star Eyes.’

The alt-pop duo is having a hectic year, having just completed a three-night stint opening for Billie Eilish at London’s O2 Arena in July. While engaged in live performances, the duo has also hinted at an eagerly awaited album film that will expand on the universe of their ‘Imaginal Disk’ project.

Previewed through a series of music videos, the upcoming film will be directed by Amanda Kramer and written and edited by TenenbaumandLewin.

The two new songs are now available, and their releases form a unified and complementary creative expression. Elements of their earlier work are present in both tracks, while ‘Second Sleep’ and ‘Star Eyes’ mark a progression in Magdalena Bay’s artistic journey.

“‘Second Sleep’ and ‘Star Eyes’ were created around the conclusion of ‘Imaginal Disk’ – both serve as a kind of spiritual continuation of the album's mood and emotional trajectory,” the band explains. “We appreciate how they enhance one another, so we are presenting them together.”
