Melody’s Echo Chamber is set to release their new album ‘Unclouded’ on December 5th.
This project serves as a creative outlet for French songwriter Melody Prochet, whose psych-pop imaginings have influenced the past decade and more.
The fourth album, titled ‘Unclouded’, features Melody collaborating with co-producer Sven Wunder in Sweden.
The album's title is inspired by a quote from Japanese animator Hayao Miyazaki, while the concept of kintsugi—where repairs integrate into the overall artistry—runs as a central theme.
With Josefin Runsteen contributing strings, the songwriting takes a deeply personal turn. Melody shares…
“The music I create often exists in the space between reality and fables. However, with each life experience, my love for life deepens and my desire to escape diminishes. While my heart may still yearn for the blue hour, I feel as if I've collected all the pieces of myself that were lost and mended them with gold, similar to Japanese kintsugi.”
The new track ‘In The Stars’ is currently available, featuring a soothing psych-pop feel that evokes a sense of relaxation.
“I used to feel nostalgic as I transitioned into adulthood,” Melody explains, “but now that I comprehend the notion of impermanence, I don’t take it so personally anymore.”
