Ronnie Wood appears to have disclosed that The Rolling Stones are set to release a new album next year.
There has been ongoing speculation regarding The Rolling Stones working on fresh material, with producer Andrew Watt – who collaborated on their previous album ‘Hackney Diamonds’ – suggesting that plans are in motion.
Ronnie Wood has been actively promoting his career-spanning compilation ‘Fearless: Anthology 1965 – 2025’.
During a visit to the flagship RS No.9 store in Carnaby Street, he shared with The Sun’s Bizarre Column: “Yes, you can expect a new album next year. It’s completed.”
When asked if a tour would follow, he replied: “Yes, we are aiming to schedule some dates. Hopefully, we will be back out on the road, but I’m still waiting to find out myself.”
Rumors of a possible Rolling Stones album in 2026 were supported by Keith Richards’ son Marlon, who discussed the recording sessions with Record Collector.
“They’re currently in the area, recording,” he stated. “They’re in Chiswick [West London] or somewhere close; I believe they are almost finished. They still keep these crazy hours: after lunch until about two in the morning.”
Marlon continued: “I suppose an album – they have plenty left over from the last one.”
“They received a Grammy, so now they’re all excited about it: ‘Oh, yeah – we can create another one like that! We have more where that came from…’. I think they are working on the follow-up.”
