The feud between Nicki Minaj and Cardi B has escalated dramatically.

Cardi B’s latest album, ‘Am I The Drama?’, has just been released, making waves and climbing the charts rapidly. This long-anticipated comeback has seen her breaking numerous chart records.

Cardi’s achievements appear to have unsettled Nicki Minaj, stirring the ongoing tension between the two artists.

Nicki initiated the exchange by retweeting a post highlighting her own achievements – “despite false reports, Nicki Minaj is the ONLY female rapper to have an album cross 200k units first week this decade” – before taking jabs at Cardi B.

Cardi interrupted a moment of family contentment to reply –

Addressing the statistics, Cardi urged Nicki Minaj to reevaluate her comparisons, emphasizing that the industry has significantly evolved. She states:

“Why do you keep mentioning my album? It’s not the surprising revelation you think it is... You’ve been around for about 16 years... you should be comparing yourself to your contemporaries from your era. Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Drake… those are the figures you should aim for, but you can’t because you’re performing worse than all of them… I was in high school when you debuted, why are you comparing yourself to me???”

As Nicki brought up Cardi B’s pregnancy, the rapper countered:

“Okay, this is the third tweet mentioning my pregnancy… as if you didn't visit different fertility specialists because you couldn’t conceive due to all those percs damaging your eggs. NOT ALLEGEDLY… Lord protect my children…”

Ice Spice appeared to find the situation entertaining from the sidelines:

This isn’t the only feud in 2025 for Nicki Minaj; she has also taken shots at SZA recently.

London-based band Whitelands have announced their new album ‘Sunlight Echoes.’

Originating from London’s DIY scene, the band initially produced extremely loud recordings that gradually evolved into shoegaze melodies. With a unique approach to their sound, Whitelands gained a cult following for their electrifying live performances.

Their debut album ‘Night-bound Eyes Are Blind To The Day’ was released in 2024. Since then, Whitelands have faced several challenges while continuing to develop their sound.

Set to release on January 30th through Sonic Cathedral, their upcoming album ‘Sunlight Echoes’ is anticipated to be a significant statement from the group. It will be available in digital format, as well as on yellow, green, or red vinyl, CD, or digital, and can be pre-ordered here.

The new single ‘Glance’ is available now, showcasing Whitelands' exploration of a radiant sense of beauty. Born out of a phase of writer’s block, the song carries a joyous and uplifting narrative about connection.

“Just before I wrote it, I wasn’t really hitting my stride with songwriting, so I reached out to Neil Halstead [of Slowdive, who toured with Whitelands in 2024] for some guidance,” recalls singer and guitarist Etienne Quartey-Papafio. “When I saw him next, he asked if I had figured it out, and I replied that I had, thanks to a heartbreak I experienced. He laughed and said, ‘Yeah, that’ll do it’.”

“For me, ‘Glance’ is about the 'what ifs’,” adds bassist Vanessa Govinden. “In that first moment of eye contact between two strangers in a real-life setting, it’s more than just attraction or desire; there’s an instant sense of familiarity and a feeling of safety and home.”

Whitelands are set to perform at London’s Corsica Studios on November 20th.
