In anticipation of her upcoming album ‘Belong,’ set to be released this Friday, Jay Som has unveiled one final teaser titled ‘Past Lives.’ This cathartic track, infused with grunge elements, features a collaboration with Hayley Williams. This will be the songwriter and producer's first album in over six years, following 2019’s ‘Anak Ko.’ ‘Belong’ includes Jay Som’s inaugural collaborations, with this particular one developing since she opened for Paramore in 2018. “It’s a dream come true to have Hayley sing on my first feature on an album, […] I still can’t believe it happened,” stated Jay Som, also known as Melina Duterte. “She’s one of the kindest artists, always uplifting those around her. We’re all fortunate to experience her talent and live alongside her in this moment.” Check out the finished collaboration here.
