The New York-based band Constant Smiles is set to release their new album ‘Moonflowers’ on November 7th.
Earlier this year, the group made their comeback by sharing previews of new material. Constant Smiles collaborated with Cassandra Jenkins on ‘Time Measured In Moonflowers’ and worked with Katie von Schleicher on ‘Allowed To Be’.
A complete project is on the way, as Constant Smiles prepares to unveil their new album this Autumn. Scheduled to be released on November 7th through Felte, the album consists of 10 tracks and features contributions from artists such as Fred Thomas, Shahzad Ismaily, Steven R. Smith, P.G. Six, and others.
The new song ‘Harriman’ is now available, showcasing a mix of Constant Smiles’ ambient pop style with a feature from Wednesday Knudson.
Drummer Nora Knight, who wrote the track, describes it:
“This song was initially created as an apology to an ex-girlfriend following an argument we had in the car. The earlier versions were more specific to that particular day. However, as I rewrote and adjusted the lyrics, I realized that I was focusing more on a meditation about continually striving to improve oneself, rather than just being an apology for a singular moment. It’s simple in its wording yet complex in its aspirations, representing a desire for greater personal achievement and fulfillment in life.”
