Featuring a delightful assortment of twelve tracks, the album showcases dodie at her most vulnerable and authentic, displaying her best work yet.

      She delves into themes of ego (‘I Feel Bad For You, Dave’), feline companionship (‘Darling, Angel, Baby’), self-reflection (‘I’M FINE!’), and the evasion of crucial conversations (‘Hold Fire’), navigating the complexities of young adulthood.

      With emotive lyrics and beautifully intertwined lush vocals complemented by upbeat moments (‘The Answer’), 'not for lack of trying' is an exceptional project from dodie.
