Katie Crutchfield, known from Waxahatchee, has teamed up with her twin sister Allison to form a new group called Snocaps.
The announcement was made over the weekend, revealing that Snocaps will release their debut, self-titled album featuring 13 tracks via ANTI- on October 31st, with a physical version set to be available in Spring.
This new venture sees Katie Crutchfield returning to familiar ground, collaborating closely with her sister Allison (of Swearin, Waxa, and PS Eliot fame) as they aim to recapture the free-spirited essence of their teenage and early adult years.
With a direct songwriting approach infused with indie rock intensity, they are supported by MJ Lenderman and Brad Cook during their recording sessions. This endeavor is more than just a side project; it showcases deep, rich songwriting delivered with a striking confidence.
Echoing Allison’s contributions to the beloved Swearin’ and Waxahatchee’s ‘Ivy Tripp’ album, this music is a joyful experience and has quickly gained a large following.
