Folklore Records has evolved from its modest beginnings into a significant platform for emerging artists. Established in 2014 by Brighton-based songwriter Jacko Hooper, Folklore Sessions started as a labor of love and has since transformed into something greater.

What began as a cozy pub night in the center of Brighton & Hove was fueled by a love for music and a desire to uplift like-minded individuals.

Over the years, Folklore has developed into an independent label and influential tastemaker, while also launching its own venue – The Folklore Rooms in Brighton, which features live music seven nights a week, hosting performances from artists such as John Smith, Joshua Hyslop, Kassi Valazza, Jamie Lawson, Wunderhorse, and many others.

The label frequently puts out short compilations, with each Folklore EP showcasing diverse talents.

The latest release, "Folklore, Vol. 3," includes new material from Clash favorite Frankie Archie, along with the highly respected Michele Stodart.

Listeners can discover previously unheard music from Cormac Nagle, and the EP concludes with an impressive new track from the rapidly ascending group The Ocelots.

      Tune in now.
