The long-list for BBC Radio 1’s Sound Of 2026 poll has been announced.

This yearly music survey unites a panel of over 170 industry professionals and artists, with past winners including PinkPantheress, Adele, Sam Smith, HAIM, Chappell Roan, among others.

Following weeks of voting, the long-list is now available, showcasing 10 artists predicted to make a breakthrough in 2026.

The list features a mix of fresh female pop talents—such as Alessi Rose, Chloe Qisha, and Skye Newman—as well as the Irish band Florence Road, R&B sensation kwn, and the viral American act sombr.

Also included are Geese, who may be more recognized than some of the others, but are undeniably successful crossover stars.

Radio 1 will reveal the top five starting Monday, January 5th, 2026, with the winner to be declared on Friday, January 9th.
