The Coral have released a new festive song titled ‘She Died On Christmas Day.’
This marks the band's very first holiday track and wraps up another remarkable year for The Coral. Concentrating on their live performances, the band toured extensively, highlighted by the unforgettable A Late Summer Night’s Scream at a sold-out Grand Central venue in Liverpool with a capacity of 3,500 in August.
Additionally, the documentary Dreaming Of You, directed by James Slater, revisited their early days and received widespread acclaim from both critics and fans.

The new release ‘She Died On Christmas Day’ serves as an alternative festive tribute, reflecting the tradition of Christmas being a time for solemn contemplation.
Musically, it draws inspiration from their appreciation for UK rock ‘n’ roll from the 1950s and early 1960s, infused with a deeply psychedelic essence.
Now available digitally, it will also be released as a limited edition seven-inch through Run On Records in collaboration with Modern Sky UK.
It’s worth mentioning that this track is the last by The Coral to feature a spoken introduction from The Great Muriarty, Ian and James’s late-grandfather Ian Murray.
“We're fans of fifties and early sixties rock 'n' roll, particularly the British kind,” says Nick Power of the band. “For us, it embodies the sounds of our upbringing: New Brighton, the fair, the forgotten piers, and the excitement and perils of towns on the edge of existence. Whenever there's an opportunity to delve into that aspect of ourselves, we're always eager to explore it.”
