In their fourth studio album, ‘Unclouded’, Melody’s Echo Chamber makes a remarkable return with a talented lineup, featuring co-producer Sven Wunder. The album begins with ‘The House That Doesn’t Exist’, which draws listeners into a fairytale-like world, much like drifting into a dream after enjoying a psychoactive brew, with Melody’s sweet harmonies enhancing the string arrangements and jangly guitars. ‘Broken Roses’ provides a warm, gentle breeze, while ‘Eyes Closed’ stands out as a highlight, infusing Neu!-inspired krautrock elements with chunky Dungen psych riffs. However, this album is decidedly psychedelic. A perfect example is ‘Memory’s Underground’, where a swirling psychotropic storm escalates into a cinematic explosion reminiscent of the Brian Jonestown Massacre. Overall, ‘Unclouded’ is another enchanting display of psych-pop brilliance.

An additional spell of psych-pop delight.
