BTS has confirmed that they will be releasing a new album this year.
The announcement was made last year during a press conference on Weverse, which was viewed by over seven million fans worldwide. BTS stated: “We’ll be releasing a new BTS album in the spring of next year… We’re also planning a world tour to accompany the new album. We’ll be visiting our fans all around the globe, so we hope you’re as excited as we are.”
Kicking off the new year with excitement, BTS has now provided fans with a specific date. The group's agency, Big Hit Music, shared a post on X stating: “March 20 comeback confirmed…”
This album marks their first release since ‘BE’ in 2020; although, the compilation ‘Proof’ came out in 2022.
All seven members hinted at their return through handwritten messages sent to their fanbase to celebrate the New Year, which seem to align with the proposed March 20th release date.
“We’ve waited more eagerly than anyone else,” RM wrote. “The year we’ve been waiting for has finally arrived,” Jimin added. “In 2026, we’ll make even more wonderful memories, so look forward to it!” V stated.
During a Weverse broadcast on December 21st, BTS expressed: “We hope to make a safe comeback this year and for the album to be successful. Let’s make BTS a major success.”
