PJ Harvey has released a playlist of songs she finds “inspiring and strengthening.”
The musician unveiled the playlist on New Year’s Eve, along with a note to her fans regarding her current projects. After concluding her tour in Australia, PJ Harvey has started working on a new album, which will follow her 2023 album ‘I Inside The Old Year Dying.’
Demonstrating her creative productivity, PJ Harvey is not only crafting a new album but also penning her second collection of poetry.
She wrote: "2025 marked the end of the ‘I Inside the Old Year Dying’ tour in Australia and Japan in March. The two-year tour was a remarkable experience, and I thoroughly enjoyed bringing the music to life as part of a shared experience.
Since then, I’ve been writing songs for my upcoming album and poems for my next book, a process that constantly surprises and challenges me, yet one that I am dedicated to and love.
Here is a playlist of music I’ve been enjoying this year, which I’ve found both inspiring and uplifting. I wish you a happy and peaceful year ahead, and thank you for your support."
The playlist features a captivating selection – PJ Harvey transitions from the techno sounds of Tim Hecker to the bold acoustic guitar of Robbie Basho, while also including tracks from Clarissa Connelly and Laura Cannell.
