Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy is set to release his new album ‘We Are Together Again’ on March 6th.
The acclaimed songwriter is returning with a new album and a planned one-off show in London. ‘We Are Together Again’ will be available for pre-order now, ahead of its March release.
This new album marks another progression for the artist, featuring 10 tracks recorded at End of an Ear Studios in Louisville with his current tour companions Jacob Duncan (flute and saxophone) and Thomas Deakin (clarinet, whistle, baritone electric guitar, accordion, cornet), as well as Ryder McNair, Chris Bush, Ned Oldham, and Erin Hill.
In a statement, the artist reflects:
“This record was created closer to the Ohio River than any I’ve worked on since the Palace Brothers' 1993 album There Is No-One What Will Take Care of You. The vibrant past and present musical community of Louisville is present in every song. Catherine Irwin, who lent her voice to the BPB release Ease Down the Road, returns for ‘Hey Little’ and ‘Vietnam Sunshine’. Lacey Guthrie, Tory Fisher, and Katie Peabody, the three front women of the band Duchess, provide vocals on the opening and closing tracks, which are parallel tributes to the beast that is fear."
Scheduled for a one-off performance at St Giles, Camberwell on January 26th, Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy's album features the new track ‘They Keep Trying To Find You’.
