Alt-pop innovator Jessica Winter is back with ‘L.O.V.E’ - a dazzling interpretation of ’00s pop, marking her first solo release since the 2023 EP ‘Limerence’. Accompanied by a Bob Fosse-inspired visualizer, this new single embodies what she describes as “the sound of falling in love,” evolving from upbeat, eager dance-pop (“the sensation of being infatuated”) into euphoric vocals and “soaring strings.” “I wrote this song a year before realizing I was codependent; sometimes my music understands me better than I do,” she shares while reflecting on the track's origins. “I wanted to release ‘L.O.V.E.’ first because my perspective on love has shifted, especially regarding my understanding of co-dependency. Spelling out the word feels so innocent, and it truly is. I'm dissecting it to gain clarity. A musical inspiration was a compilation CD called Chilled Ibiza, which my brother and I would listen to during our summer vacations growing up.” To celebrate the release, Jessica has also announced her upcoming headline show at The Divine in London on April 15th, the first of what promises to be a busy year.
